Made with the rarest and most precious of all cottons, this exquisite pillow case is as soft as silk, as smooth as only the finest cotton can be, and, with its hand made plisse detail, an intricate and uncomparable product.

While the hand working of the four pleats to the border shows the skill and finishing expertise of the Italian Artisan, it is the fabric here that is the real star of the show.

About Giza 45

Giza 45 is the rarest and most expensive of all cottons. It is grown in a very small area, in fact a field on the banks of the Nile Delta region in Egypt. Each year, the plants of Giza 45 cotton are cultivated. Only a limited quantity can be produced and the manual picking of the cotton at the right degree of maturity ensures only the best plants are selected rather than all being swept up mechanically.

The Giza 45 cotton fibres are finer and stronger than any other and also extremely long. They can be woven into higher thread counts than any other cotton with minimal bulk and superior strength. This product uses Giza 45 cotton woven into a count of 700 threads per inch. This is the highest non plied thread count we have ever experienced.

In contrast to extremely high thread count cotton using plied yarns, this Giza 45 cotton product remains soft and extremely light.

Once you have become accustomed to Giza 45 bed linen, you will soon realise why bed linen quoting extremely high thread counts yet at a very low price just can’t be so.
