Inspiration

Lucrezia, born in 1480, was the daughter of Rodrigo Borgia and sister of Cesare. Lucrezia fulfilled her family's ambitions through successive marriages. Her third husband, Alfonso I D'Este, Duke of Ferrara, brought her the serenity she sought, and allowed her to devote herself to educating her children and her love of the arts.
