The Paz collection celebrates one of the most enduring and powerful symbols in human history - the dove of peace.
From antiquity to the great masters of the twentieth century, this graceful bird has crossed cultures, as a messenger of hope. In the Old Testament, it returns to Noah bearing an olive branch, a sign that the waters have receded and that life can begin again. In Christian tradition, it embodies the Holy Spirit, purity and inner reconciliation. In ancient Greece, it was the attribute of Aphrodite, symbolizing love and harmony. In the twentieth century, Picasso's dove became a modern icon of universal peace, combining innocence, simplicity and symbolic power.
It is with this lineage that the Paz collection finds its meaning. Each ceramic piece is crafted by Portuguese artisans. The dove motif, sculpted in relief, appears as a drawing in motion and reveals the hand that shaped the clay.
The finesse of the glazing, inside and outside, reveals subtle shifts in colour. It plays with contrasts, light, and the dialogue between matte and glossy finishes.
