William Morris designed Strawberry Thief in 1881 after he witnessed a thrush steal strawberries from his garden at Kelmscott Manor. This scene, embodying nature's charm, mystery, and drama, continues to captivate design lovers over a century later.

This design is one of the most well known of all Morris designs, and is captured here as a beautifully embroidered leading edge on a sumptuous velvet body
