Koutoubia: a gateway to heaven

Standing tall in the Marrakech sky, the Koutoubia is a jewel of Almohad architecture dating back to the 12th century.

A centre of prayer, the Koutoubia overlooks a vibrant medina surrounded by its city walls and palm trees. On the horizon and beyond this monument, a symbol of Marrakech, are the snow-capped peaks of the Atlas Mountains.

The sublimated glass of the Koutoubia candle lets the flame appear, illuminating the décor like anorientalist canvas.

Fragrance Notes

Also available in 500 ml diffuser, this collection has a very Moroccan identity, where strolls through the city’s souks evoke precious essences of incense, Atlas cedar and leather

Serge Anton has been part of the brand’s advertising campaigns, engaging with talent for a longtime now.

Baobab Collection and Serge Anton share a love for Africa and Morocco.It was during a trip, inspired by a chance conversation, that the idea came up. Corinne Bensahel, artistic director of Baobab Collection, fell in love with a photograph of Marrakech shot by Serge Anton and asked him if she could transpose it onto glass. The test surpassed all of their expectations, and it was then that this collection began to take shape, combining archival photos of Essaouira with new shots of the Koutoubia or the kasbahs of Skoura. All images are signed by Serge Anton in the spirit of orientalist paintings, a masterful result that delights the soul. In fact, the sales of these candles and diffusers will support Actions@Village and the reconstruction of schools and sanitary blocks in the devastated villages of the Atlas.

Usage

Put all the sticks in the lodge and let the fragrance diffusion happen.
Revert the sticks if you wish to have a more intense perfume diffusion.

The Lodge diffuser will last 6-8 months before needing to be refilled. 

The Lodge Diffuser contains 16-18% perfume

As the perfume is alcohol based, be sure to purchase and use the Lodge Display stand on a fragile / sensitive surface to avoid stains.
