Pure Eiderdown Duvet by Dauny of Switzerland
Over the years we have known about the magical qualities of the down from the Eider Duck, but have never had the chance to experience it. There have also been a handful of companies over the years that have, from time to time, offered eiderdown duvets in their range. Never before however, have we ever experienced luxury as provided by Schlossberg and, specifically the three pure eiderdown duvets in their range.
Perfect luxury as you sleep
Dauny is one of just a few bedding manufacturers worldwide to offer exquisite duvets filled with Icelandic eiderdown, one of the most exclusive and precious products in the natural world. It is extremely light and durable with outstanding insulating properties that adjust automatically to suit the prevailing room temperature. Once the eiderdown has been collected by hand on the banks of the Arctic Ocean, it is taken to the atelier in Fischbach-Göslikon where it is sorted with the utmost care and wrapped in the finest silk. The duvets and pillows are made by hand in Switzerland using 100% Icelandic Eiderdown that has been collected by hand, gently washed by hand, disinfected in a steam bath and then sorted by hand to guarantee 100% purity.

After our "interview" we were finally shown the eiderdown duvet, encased in the most luxurious mulberry silk cover. We were then told to open out the palm of our hand. In our hands was placed a cluster of pure eiderdown - amazingly we could see it, but it was so light that we couldn't feel it! Gradually our hands became warmer and warmer - this is the magical quality of the finest pure Eider Down as used by Dauny of Switzerland.

Warmth Rating
Swiss duvets are warmth rated on a 5 point scale. 1 being the coolest, 5 being the warmest. This duvet is rated as a 2 point Light - Duvets with low warmth retention. Ideal for warmer regions or for spring and autumn, as a duvet for water beds or for those who rarely feel the cold or who sleep in heated bedrooms.
