This most fabulous and beautiful hand-blown glass with subtle shades of grey was created by the glass artisans of Baobab Collection.

Horizontal strata form grey stripes dotted with small round and organic shards.

The Atacama scented candles are refined objects perfect for urban and chic interiors.

Inspiration

As its name suggests, the hand-blown vases feature colours from the desert landscapes of Latin America. Three candles and diffusers, Totem, Siloli, Sonora and Atacama, draw their names from the great American deserts and will diffuse scents of adventure.

About the Sand Collection

One of the most beautiful expressions of the magic of glass. Colour is added in layers, with small shards that shine like bubbles to form long lines, an ode to glasswork’s origins: made from the materials of the earth. Sand is the primary material used to make glass. Its silica, heated to a very high temperature, gives birth to glass that probably appeared in 3500 BC in the Middle East. The method of hand-blowing, which consists of blowing air into a hollow cane, likely dates back to the beginning of our era. The Sand collection’s glass is thus the result of the magic that operates between a man’s breath and his material. Pigmented glass confetti is simultaneously introduced into the opaline material to melt and form horizontal lines as a result of the breath and the rotation of the cane. The resulting imagery resembles the great South American deserts where the eye gets lost in organic colours, an unconscious source of inspiration in the creation of this collection
